Maspalomas
For those coming just for the weekend, or staying on for a few extra days to explore the island, we'd recommend staying in the Triana/Vegueta area or in Las Canteras. Vegueta is the historic old town of Las Palmas and is a 5-minute walk from the bus pick-up point. Las Canteras is the city beach, and although whether you'll get beach weather in April is a bit of a gamble, a walk along the seafront is sometimes all you need. It's about a 15-minute drive from the bus pick-up area (around €5 by taxi).
For those looking to extend their stay with near-guaranteed sunshine, we'd recommend the south of the island: Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, Puerto Rico, Mogán... That said, on the wedding day itself it's best to stay in Las Palmas, as any hotel in the south is at least a 40-minute drive from the bus pick-up area.
Para quienes vienen el finde o se quedan unos días más para recorrer la isla, recomendamos alojarse en la zona de Triana/Vegueta o en Las Canteras. Vegueta es el casco histórico de Las Palmas y está a 5 minutos andando del punto de recogida de guaguas. Las Canteras es la playa de la ciudad y aunque en abril que haga día de playa es cuestión de suerte, un paseo junto al mar a veces es todo lo que uno necesita. Queda a unos 15 minutos en coche de la zona de guaguas (unos 5€ en taxi).
Para quienes busquen alargar la estancia con sol casi garantizado, recomendamos el sur de la isla: Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, Puerto Rico, Mogán... Eso sí, al menos el día de la boda conviene quedarse en Las Palmas, ya que cualquier hotel del sur queda como mínimo a unos 40 minutos en coche de la zona de recogida de guaguas.
